Bin Location Maintenance - Validate Bin Locations

Use this option to convert any bin numbers that have been entered in lower case to upper case. This may occur when data is imported into Micronet and can cause problems with reports.

Warning This process can take a long time to complete so should be run outside of normal hours.

To convert lower case bin locations to upper case:

1. Select MAINTENANCE | ITEM MAINTENANCE | BIN LOCATION MAINTENANCE | VALIDATE BIN LOCATIONS.

Micronet displays the Validate Bin Locations screen.

2. In the Select warehouse to process multi bins field, enter the warehouse ID for which you want to validate bins.

You can also press Tab or Enter to select a warehouse.

3. Select the Process button.

Micronet displays a message asking you to confirm that you want to validate bins for the selected warehouse.

4. Select Yes to continue with the validation.

Micronet scans all bin locations in the selected warehouse and converts any lower case bins to upper case. It then scans all current transaction records and converts those bin locations, with a progress bar showing the percentage of records processed. When it has finished, Micronet displays the following message.

5. Select OK.

Micronet redisplays the Validate Bin Locations screen.

6. Select the Cancel button to return to the main Micronet screen.
